Our runways, taxiways, and aircraft stand are suitable for small pilottraining aircraft, business jets, and passenger aircraft like Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The maximum wingspan at the airport is 36 meters (code letter C).

No, there will be no cargo flights to and from Lelystad Airport. It is simply not possible. Our runway is too short for the type of aircraft used for cargo traffic. In addition, the runway and taxiways are too narrow and the aircraft stands are too small. There are also no facilities at Lelystad Airport to handle cargo traffic. These include storage sheds, customs and clearance facilities.

Lelystad Airport is centrally located in the Netherlands. Our airport is quick and easy to reach by road and public transport. From the A6 motorway you can drive straight to the airport via the Anthony Fokkerweg.

Flevoland province and Lelystad municipality are working on a rapid bus connection. Transport company Arriva will deploy the Airport Express bus as soon as the airport opens for holiday travellers. This rapid bus connection will take holiday travellers directly from the airport to NS station Lelystad Centrum and vice versa in just under 15 minutes.
