Eric Sliphorst from ROCVA: \u201cThis Cessna has been used for education for nearly 50 years. It\u2019s wonderful to see this aircraft being given a place of honour as the \u2018gatekeeper\u2019 at Lelystad Airport after years of faithful service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The airport\u2019s fire brigade team has renamed it to \u2018PH-EdK\u2019 in honour of the former <em>havenmeester<\/em> of Lelystad Airport.<\/p>\n<p>The Cessna was originally registered as PH-ALB in 1964 and, in recent years, has been a key piece of equipment for students at MBO College Airport Hoofddorp where it carried the fictitious registration \u2018PH-SKS\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The end result is impressive, with a fresh new paint job in the airport\u2019s corporate style.
