We are building and developing Lelystad Airport in a more climate-resilient way by phasing out natural gas use at the General Aviation area. Lelystad Airport staat niet op zich, het is onderdeel van <\/strong>Royal Schiphol Group<\/b><\/a>.<\/strong> De luchthaven neemt een deel van het vliegverkeer van Schiphol over. Zo ontstaat op Schiphol ruimte voor meer intercontinentale vluchten.\u00a0<\/p>

\u2018Overloopluchthaven\u2019 van Schiphol<\/h3>

Lelystad Airport wordt een zogeheten \u2018overloopluchthaven\u2019 van Schiphol.<\/strong> Airlines die vluchten verplaatsen van Schiphol naar Lelystad Airport en op Schiphol een \u2018slot\u2019 achterlaten, krijgen exclusieve voorrang voor een vliegoperatie op Lelystad Airport.<\/p>

Er zijn door Minister Harbers twee randvoorwaarden genoemd, het oplossen van de laagvliegroute en het verkrijgen van een Natuurvergunning. Aan beide wordt gewerkt en dit ziet er positief uit.<\/p>

Als Lelystad een aantal vakantievluchten van Schiphol overneemt, brengt dat Schiphol beter in balans. Veel van dit vliegverkeer vertrekt aan de randen van de nacht. Dat geeft rond Schiphol circa 129.000 gehinderden. Als dat naar Lelystad komt, brengt Lelystad Airport met de opening voor de vakantiereiziger dat terug naar minder dan 200.<\/p>

Vliegroutes<\/h3>

De vliegroutes van en naar Lelystad Airport zijn ontworpen binnen de huidige indeling van het luchtruim.<\/strong> Daarbij wordt rekening gehouden met de drukke routes van en naar Schiphol en met een deel van het luchtruim dat het Ministerie van Defensie gebruikt om te oefenen voor militaire missies.<\/p>

Bij het ontwerp van de vliegroutes staat de veiligheid altijd voorop. Een ander belangrijk uitgangspunt is dat zo min mogelijk mensen geluidshinder ervaren.<\/p>

In de eerste jaren breidt het aantal vluchten op Lelystad Airport zich geleidelijk uit naar maximaal 10.000 vliegbewegingen per jaar bij opening. Dat zijn gemiddeld 27 starts en landingen per dag.<\/p>

De start- en landingsbaan mag van 6.00 uur tot 23.00 uur worden gebruikt, met een uitloop tot uiterlijk 24.00 uur bij eventuele vertragingen vanuit het vertrekkende land. Dat betekent dat er op Lelystad Airport geen nachtvluchten zullen plaatsvinden.<\/p>

Belangrijke impuls voor de regio<\/h3>

De doorgroei van Lelystad Airport geeft een belangrijke economische impuls aan de regio.<\/strong> De luchthaven trekt bedrijven aan, zorgt voor lokale en regionale werkgelegenheid en versterkt het vestigingsklimaat, zoals de positie van ondernemingen die zich bezighouden met onderhoud en reparatie van vliegtuigen en vliegtuigonderdelen, ook wel aangeduid als MRO-bedrijven.<\/p>

Lelystad Airport Businesspark (LAB)<\/a> is het bedrijventerrein naast de luchthaven en biedt ruimte aan hotels, hoogwaardige kantoorruimte, luchthaven gerelateerde ontwikkelingen en commerci\u00eble voorzieningen.<\/p>

Lelystad Airport is klaar voor de opening!<\/h3>

Om gereed te zijn voor commercieel vervoer is de verkeerstoren verhoogd en Lelystad Airport is een gecontroleerd luchthaven geworden. De start- en landingsbaan is verlengd en er is een duurzame passagiersterminal neergezet.<\/strong><\/p>

Deze nieuwe terminal is zo duurzaam mogelijk gebouwd en heeft het Leed Gold certificaat. Er is ingezet op een zo minimaal mogelijk energieverbruik.<\/p>

Ruimtes waar reizigers maar kort verblijven, zoal de entreehal en de reclaim, zijn niet geklimatiseerd. Pas bij security, in de lounge en de wachtruimte bij de gate gaat de verwarming aan. Voor koelen en verwarmen is een luchtwarmtepomp ge\u00efnstalleerd, de terminal maakt geen gebruik van gas. Het gebouw is goed ge\u00efsoleerd, wat het energieverbruik verder omlaag brengt. En ook al zijn er nog geen reizigers, het wordt af en toe wel gebruikt, maar dan voor bijeenkomsten.<\/p>

Goed contact en samenwerking met de omgeving<\/h3>

Lelystad Airport heeft goed contact met de omgeving.<\/strong> Het lokale en provinciale bestuur hopen op een positief besluit vanwege de extra werkgelegenheid. Met de directe buren, een aantal boeren, verenigd in stichting De Lelystadse Boer<\/a>, werkt de luchthaven nauw samen. Zij maaien het gras van het landingsterrein bijvoorbeeld en gaan straks de horeca en retail van producten voorzien.<\/p>

De meest duurzame passagiersterminal ter wereld is gebouwd, er is veel bedrijvigheid op en rondom de luchthaven, het aantal gehinderden voor vliegverkeer zal nationaal significant dalen en de werkgelegenheid gaat door de opening\u00a0in de regio en ver hierbuiten enorm toenemen;!<\/strong><\/p>
