In reactie op het hoofdlijnenakkoord 2024-2028 benadrukt Jan Eerkens het belang van rechtsbescherming voor omwonenden van Schiphol, gecombineerd met behoud van de netwerkkwaliteit voor Nederland. Volgens Eerkens kan de opening van Lelystad Airport bijdragen aan het verminderen van hinder door vliegbewegingen te verplaatsen en tegelijkertijd het bestemmingennetwerk van Royal Schiphol Group versterken. Daarnaast biedt de luchthaven een economische en maatschappelijke impuls voor Provincie Flevoland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het is nu wachten op het definitieve besluit van Den Haag om open te gaan voor commercieel handelsverkeer.\u00a0 We verwachten dat er in 2024 een besluit komt over de opening, het zou fijn zijn als er duidelijkheid komt en we weten wat ons perspectief is.<\/strong> Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat de toestemming er op een moment gaat komen. Er zijn door Minister Harbers twee randvoorwaarden genoemd, het oplossen van de aanvliegroute en het verkrijgen van een Natuurvergunning. Aan beide wordt gewerkt en het ziet er positief uit.<\/p>

Lelystad staat niet op zich, we zijn onderdeel van Royal Schiphol Group. Als Lelystad een aantal vakantievluchten van Schiphol overneemt, brengt dat Schiphol beter in balans. Veel van dit verkeer vertrekt aan de randen van de nacht. Dat geeft rond Schiphol circa 129.000 gehinderden. Als dat naar Lelystad komt, brengen we dat terug naar minder dan 200.<\/p>

Omgeving<\/strong><\/h3>

Er is goed contact met de omgeving en de kritiek over het opengaan van Lelystad voor commercieel vervoer komt vooral van buiten de regio (Gelderland en Overijssel). Het lijkt wel hoe verder weg van Lelystad, hoe groter de weerstand. Het lokale en provinciale bestuur hopen juist op een positief besluit vanwege de extra werkgelegenheid. Met onze directe buren, een aantal boeren (verenigd in stichting De Lelystadse Boer), werken we nauw samen. Zij maaien het gras van het landingsterrein bijvoorbeeld en gaan straks de horeca en retail van producten voorzien. Als je een luchthaven wilt openen, dan heb je met veel partijen te maken. En daar zijn ook mensen die tegen de luchtvaart zijn bij. Dat weet je van tevoren, maar we gaan met iedereen het gesprek aan, ook met tegenstanders.<\/p>

We zijn met het team van Lelystad Airport trots dat we ons vijftigste verjaardag mogen vieren en dit hebben we onlangs ook gedaan met een onthulling van Lelystad Airport in Madurodam.<\/em> Niet alleen medewerkers van Lelystad Airport waren getuige van de onthulling. In relatie tot de vijftigste verjaardag van de luchthaven was er de wens dit te vieren met de toekomstige generatie van Lelystad. In samenwerking met partner JINC is er een prijsvraag opgesteld voor basisscholen in Lelystad. Prijswinnaar van het compleet verzorgde schoolreisje was Basisschool CBS Ichthus. Groepen 5 t\/m 8 zijn met Lelystad Airport afgereisd naar Madurodam en hebben een hele leuke dag gehad. Het is fantastisch om die blije gezichten bij de onthulling van onze luchthaven te zien<\/em>.<\/p>

Het ontwikkelen van de nieuwe luchthaven een ingrijpende klus is. Van een General Aviation veld naar een vliegveld voor commercieel handelsverkeer is een groot en ingewikkeld project, dat doe je niet zomaar. Naast de infrastructuur is ook de organisatie ingrijpend veranderd, dat was best een uitdaging, het heeft veel van de medewerkers gevraagd. De nieuwe terminal is nog niet helemaal klaar, maar bezoekers zijn altijd verbaasd als ze zien hoe compleet het al is en hoeveel bedrijvigheid er is. Want Lelystad is natuurlijk al open, al 50 jaar. Het General Aviation-verkeer geeft met jaarlijks gemiddeld 90.000 vliegbewegingen veel drukte. We zitten hier niet te klaverjassen.<\/p>

Duurzame nieuwe terminal<\/strong><\/h3>

Om klaar te zijn voor commercieel handelsverkeer is de verkeerstoren, waar sinds november 2019 Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland (LVNL) zit, verhoogd, de is baan verlengd en er is een passagiersterminal neergezet. De nieuwe terminal is zo duurzaam mogelijk gebouwd en heeft dan ook het Leed Gold certificaat. Er is ingezet op zo minimaal mogelijk energieverbruik. Ruimtes waar reizigers maar kort verblijven, zoals de entreehal en de reclaim, zijn niet geklimatiseerd. Pas bij security, in de lounge en de wachtruimte bij de gate gaat de verwarming aan. Voor koelen en verwarmen is een luchtwarmtepomp ge\u00efnstalleerd, de terminal maakt geen gebruik van gas. Het gebouw is goed ge\u00efsoleerd, wat het energieverbruik verder omlaag brengt. En ook al zijn er nog geen reizigers, hij wordt af en toe wel gebruikt, maar dan voor bijeenkomsten.<\/p>
