What are the rules for flying drones near Lelystad Airport?<\/h3>\n

Flying a drone on or near airports is prohibited in the Netherlands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, under certain circumstances, it is possible to fly drones in the vicinity of Lelystad Airport.<\/p>\n

In the Netherlands, flying a drone is considered a VFR (Visual Flight Rules) flight. VFR flights are subject to certain legal requirements. Therefore, if you intend to fly your drone in a CTR (Controlled Traffic Region), you need clearance from the tower controller.
